Peelable Laminated shim: Form a rigid structure that functions as a solid but may be reduced to a precise thickness by hand-peeling of layers (foils). Individual foils can vary in thickness from 0.002" to 0.003"
Edge Bonded: Peelable shim where the foils are bonded across an edge, as opposed to the entire surface of the foils. This permits shims to be more flexible and very easy to reduce to a precise thickness
Half Solid/Hybrid Shims: Comprise a solid part and a laminated part to form the thickness of the shim. These shims offer strength while providing for micro thickness adjustments. Solid part of these shims can be used as a load bearing surface.
